The Rezvani Tank is Exceedingly Large and Appropriately Named

Rezvani, the California-based coachbuilder responsible for creating the wild ‘Beast’ supercar, has unveiled its latest creation, the Tank.

The Rezvani Tank is based on the Jeep Wrangler JK and packs a 500 horsepower version of Fiat Chrysler’s 6.4-liter HEMI V8 under its hood. The exterior is made of Kevlar and is entirely bulletproof (as you may have guessed by looking at its military-esque styling) and there’s also bulletproof B6 glass and a Kevlar fuel tank. The spec-ops inspiration continues with an onboard thermal night vision camera system.

The interior is pretty much the same as a Wrangler JK’s, but Rezvani has spruced things up a bit with power-operated doors, new seats, a heads-up display and a new infotainment/navigation display. Like a standard Wrangler JK, there’s also a 4-wheel-drive system with a selectable transfer case.

Rezvani is already taking $1,000 deposits on the aptly named Tank, with the first units expected to be delivered before the New Year. The base-price is a cool $178,000 and things like the Kevlar body panels and fuel tank are extra. Not cheap – but the Tank’s a whole ‘lotta vehicle.

Nope. I like the rag top Wrangler.

I wouldn't mind owning it, if the gas mileage was at least 20 mpg... but I doubt it. Probably more like 12 mpg.
