The Cadillac XT4 compact crossover has been teased for the first time in one of the automaker’s ads for the 90th Academy Awards.

The XT4, which will debut in full at the 2018 New York Auto Show later this month, will ride on General Motors’ E2 platform and is rumored to feature its 2.0-liter turbocharged LTG four-cylinder engine. Recent spy shots showed portions of the interior, revealing white leather upholstery, a never-before-seen Cadillac steering wheel and an angled center stack display screen.

Cadillac plans on running three commercials during coverage of the 90th Oscars – marking the fifth consecutive year it has used the awards ceremony to push its products. In a statement, the automaker said the Oscars “is a natural fit for the brand and the perfect stage to reveal our exhilarating new creative, including a preview of the first-ever Cadillac XT4 and a look at our industry-leading Super Cruise technology.”

The three ads are different from one another and each promote a different part of Cadillac’s business. The 60-second ‘Future is Here’ spot is described as anthemic in nature and is intended to show Cadillac’s “endless pursuit of innovation and its ever-growing portfolio,” the brand says. The second, dubbed ‘Future Cars’, showcases the automaker’s semi-autonomous Super Cruise system and also features footage of ‘futuristic’ cars from various films and television shows. Its final Oscars ad provides a sneak peak at the XT4 as a Bruno Mars soundtrack plays in the background.

The Cadillac XT4 will be revealed in full at Cadillac House in New York on March 27th, so be sure to check back for more info as it becomes available. The 90th Academy Awards will air live this Sunday on ABC from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, but you can watch all three Cadillac commercials embedded below.
