The Audi Q8 has been previewed in a new official design sketch released by the German automaker.

The sketch shows off the rear of the Q8, revealing a full-width rear light bar and a sporty-looking rear diffuser with integrated exhaust tips.

Spy shots from earlier in the year revealed the Q8’s design in full, showing a svelte silhouette with a rearward sloping roofline and pronounced wheel arches.

In the US, the Q8 will likely be offered with turbocharged V6 and V8 engines from the VW Group portfolio. A plug-in hybrid is also expected to arrive, although it may not be available immediately from launch. The plug-in could boast a pure electric driving range of around 31 miles – about double the EV range of the Porsche Cayenne Plug-In. It will tap VW Group’s MLB platform, which serves in the Audi Q7, Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga and others.

The Q8 will enter production at Audi’s Bratislava plant in Slovakia sometime later this year. It’s expected to make its debut in the summer.
