The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV has been teased in a new design sketch released today by the Korean automaker.

The new Santa Fe, which has already been previewed in spy photos, will adopt Hyundai’s new corporate front end for crossovers and SUVs, which was first seen on the Hyundai Kona compact crossover. The side profile is “simple yet sleek,” Hyundai says, while the rear has a “confident and stable stance,” joined by unique new taillights and dual mufflers.

Spy photos revealed the Santa Fe will also grow in size in moving to this next-generation vehicle, although it will still be available in standard and long wheelbase variants. The five-seat model may come with Hyundai’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, while the LWB version could feature its 3.3-liter V6. You can also expect a suite of active safety systems from Hyundai’s ‘Smart Sense’ umbrella of safety features.

The only time wheels that size are seen on any vehicle is in the artist's rendering. Besides, they look ridiculous.
