Canada Just Got Its Own Special Edition Subaru WRX
The Subaru WRX Raiu has made its debut in Canada today – giving the country its very own special edition version of the rally-inspired sports sedan.
Just 100 examples of the WRX Raiu will land on Canada’s shores, all featuring a Cool Grey Khaki exterior – a blueish hue that’s neither grey nor khaki, to our eye. All Raiu edition WRXs will get STI-branded front, side and rear lip spoilers as well, in addition to an STI-branded short-throw shifter, 18-inch alloy wheels and black interior and exterior accents. If you’re wondering, the ‘Raiu’ name is derived from the Japanese word for thunderstorm.

The WRX Raiu is based on the WRX Sport Tech, so it also gets all of the equipment featured on the range-topping trim level including Recaro ultrasuede seats, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a nine-speaker Harman Kardon stereo system, Jurid front brake pads and red painted brake calipers.
The WRX Raiu has been priced $40,995 Canadian. Subaru says it will be arriving at dealerships across Canada shortly, so look for these uniquely equipped models to appear over the next couple months. Just 100 examples will be built, remember, so you may want to act fast if you want one.
