Nothing screams “commitment” or “responsibility” louder than a minivan, well, maybe a saggy pair of elastic-waist mom jeans but who’s counting?

Kia’s 2014 Sedona minivan is one of the latest vehicles to earn a five-star crash safety rating.

Last year, Kia announced that the Sedona minivan had reached the end of its lifecycle and would be getting the axe; then the Korean automaker did a flip-flop and said it would return, just at a later time.

The Kia KV7 Concept debuted back at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, sporting all sorts of features foreign to a traditional minivan: gullwing side doors, rotating seats, wood flooring, retractable dash board, and even floating table-top touchscreen computers.
