Mario Hand Delivers Life-Sized Kart to GameStop Epic Reward Giveaway Winner – Video

Back at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, Nintendo teamed up with West Coast Customs to build a life-sized Mario Kart to promote its new Mario Kart 7 game for the Nintendo 3DS. The kart, which was extremely well-built and resembled the real deal in the game was to be given away as part of the GameStop Epic Reward Giveaway.

So imagine what it would be like one day while you’re sitting at your home and Mario comes knocking on your door to hand you the giant key to the custom kart. That’s exactly what happened to Nate Stehley in Clarksville, Tennessee, who won the kart as part of the monthly Epic Reward Giveaway from GameStop’s PowerUp Rewards program.

The custom kart built by West Coast Customs features a decorative glider wing just like the ones seen in the new 3DS game. The build up was recently shown on the Velocity Network on how WCC and Nintendo worked together to make their video game vehicles a reality. We won’t lie, we’re totally jealous of Nate.

And all this time we always just thought those GameStop employees were annoying trying to get us to join their silly rewards program.

Check out the video after the break.
