The 2011 Infiniti QX56 was unveiled at the New York Auto Show with more power, better fuel economy, but the same price as the 2010 version.

Unless its predecessors which were based on the Nisssan Armada, the new QX56 shares DNA with the Nissan Patrol. The direct-injected 5.6l engine has a claimed output of 400 hp, which Infiniti says is a 25% increase from the previous model. Fuel economy also gets a 10% boost.

Despite the upgrades, Infiniti announced the 2011 QX56 would be priced the same as the 2010 model at $56,700 for the 2WD version. A 4WD version will be available at $59,800.

I guess I will be the only one to say this is a good looking SUV, not gaudy like the Escalade or Navigator. But I do have to admit that its sister ,Patrol, is the better looking and Robert Cumberford I'm sure will agree with me and wjaprep that those side vents do not match the car whatsoever, looks like one of those really bad aftermarket jobs you see on old Buicks and Oldsmobiles.
