Is this the Chevrolet version of the Buick Encore? Recent drawings filed to the European patent office reveals that General Motors could be preparing an entry-level crossover for its Chevy brand.

It appears that this Chevy crossover will be a little more than a foot shorter than the current Chevy Equinox model and has the possibility of making its way to the U.S. because it doesn’t really have a currently-viable competitor to popular crossovers like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.

Few details were released on the new crossover, but L’Automobile Magazine hints that this new crossover could be part of the new partnership between Citroen and GM.
