Craigslist Pontiac Grand Am GT Advertisement is Hilarious and Ridiculous

Probably one of the most popular advertising campaigns ever released for a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am GT, an over-the-top post on Craigslist is enjoying, or suffering, loads of media coverage.

Ridiculous as it is, the ad is real, and really trying to sell a ’95 Grand Am GT. Among the clever sales tactics seen on the page, a massive markdown from $199,999 to $700 — such a steal. Each previous owner has also had a beard. Much like a beard, the seller promises this car will give whoever buys it manly appeal.

Joe, the seller, even claims in the ad that after the car sells every woman in the world will try to pile into it. That could be a problem because the car already has a blown head gasket and didn’t start with the world’s greatest suspension.

With a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that only makes 150 hp when running smoothly, a lady-laden version might struggle to take off at all.

Have a look at the full ad below, phone number included, and feel free to call if you’re interested in spending $700 on what is surely now the world’s most famous teal green Pontiac.
