Just a couple of weeks ago, we were tipped that Lexus might be working on a new LS450h that could sport a hybrid V6 powertrain. Now we have learned that an updated Lexus LS model isn’t far off.

This shouldn’t come as a huge surprise considering the Japanese automaker recently released all-new GS and ES models, both of which received impressive upgrades compared to their predecessors. The flagship LS model is naturally next on its list and we could see before the calendar year ends.

The current-generation LS model has changed very little over the last seven years, so we expect the next-generation model to feature much of the trademark design features seen in the new GS and ES, based on the automaker’s current ‘L Finesse’ design language. Undoubtedly it will feature the signature spindle front grille.
