As expected, Bentley has announced its newly updated Continental GT Speed model ahead of its official debut at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The new performance flagship for the luxury British automaker will feature 616-hp and 590 lb-ft of torque from an enhanced 6.0-liter, twin turbocharged W12 engine. The result is a sporty coupe that does 0-60 mph in just 4 seconds flat with a top speed of 205 mph. Mated to the engine is a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission that will also improve fuel economy by up to 12 percent compared to its predecessor.

Obviously the GT Speed is built on the updated Continental platform, but features unique 21-inch Speed wheels (available in two finishes), a dark-tinted matrix front grille and lower air intakes, while the exhaust tips get a ‘rifled’ finish. On the inside, the GT Speed will feature the Mulliner Driving Specification as standard in addition to plenty of signature Speed design amenities.

The 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed will make its official debut on June 28th at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, but Bentley is accepting orders starting now with deliveries beginning October of this year.
