The 2013 Audi R8 was revealed yesterday, and today the first video of the new German supercar has hit the web, showing off some of the cosmetic changes put in place for 2013.

New for 2013 is the R8 V10 Plus edition which sits on top of the R8 range and offers buyers same added style, coming stock with a single-frame grille complete with beveled upper corners painted high-gloss black, and horizontal chrome inserts adorning the struts. The R8 plus gets its power from a 5.2-liter V10, which makes the cars 0 to 62 mph time a blistering 3.6 seconds. The biggest change for 2013 is the introduction of the seven-speed S tronic transmission to the R8 at all levels.

Other notable features include new carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) on the side scoops and louvers, optional LED illumination in the engine compartment, and a total weight loss of 353-lbs over the last gen R8, bringing the car in at 3461 lbs.
