SRT brand boss Ralph Gilles has made it official in a video statement: Dodge will not be participating in the 2013 NASCAR season.

The brand’s exit from Nascar started when long time Dodge team Penske Racing announced it would partner with Ford for the 2013 series. Since then, Dodge has been scrambling to find another partner, but has come up short.

While there will be no Chrysler products in NASCAR for 2013, the new SRT performance brand just kicked off a racing offensive this weekend as the Viper returned to the American Le Mans Series. Dodge also sponsors rally-cross racer Travis Pastrana, and racers in the AMA supercross dirt bike league.
