Mustang fans armed with an Android or Apple mobile device can now take advantage of the Ford’s car configurator on the go, pitting them against other enthusiasts.

“Since we relaunched the online Mustang Customizer for 2013 models in June, more than 120,000 people have registered and built more than 450,000 unique fantasy Mustangs,” said Brian McClary, Ford digital marketing manager. “With the new app, fans will be able to configure their one-of-a-kind pony car any time they have a few minutes to spare.”

Originally released in 2011, Ford says the first version was downloaded more than 250,000 times after its release. In the latest version, users can save their builds to earn up to 70 different badges and can take part in battles between theirs and other customized cars.

The newest feature of this release? A drift challenge where players can take any of the cars they’ve built and race them around one of nine different courses.
