Earlier in the week, Scion released a teaser video kicking off its 2012 SEMA Show FR-S Tuner Challenge. Now the Japanese automaker has released the first preview of the three cars vying for top honors.

Scion released the proposal renders that each team submitted, offering a glimpse of what to expect in Las Vegas next week. Unfortunately, those teams are probably still hard at work in putting the finishing touches on their vehicles, so the finished products aren’t likely to slip out beforehand.

One thing is for sure, the SEMA Show will clearly be dominated by the presence of the Scion FR-S this year.
