Volkswagen CC R-Line Gets Aggressive Style: 2012 LA Auto Show

Making an appearance at the 2012 LA Auto Show for Volkswagen was its CC R-Line model, which will start at $32,195, not including a $795 destination fee.

The sporty R-Line package adds an aggressive front grille, projector-style foglights, side skirts, and 18-inch ‘Mallory’ aluminum wheels to the popular CC model. As for body modifications, Volkswagen equips it with R-Line stainless steel scuff plates, a more aggressive front bumper and side sill extensions, and R-Line badging on the grille.

In addition, for those with the DSG transmission, the R-Line Package will outfit the CC with a multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters. Also added to the interior is a RNS 315 navigation system.

The Volkswagen CC is powered by a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque. All R-Line models are front-wheel drive and transmission options include a six-speed manual or six-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic. The German automaker also announced at the show that the CC R-Line will be available at dealerships by the end of the year.
