The 2014 Cadillac ELR luxury coupe cuts a dramatic, forward-leaning profile that remains faithful in its execution to the Art & Science design philosophy and the Converj show car that inspired it. The ELR is the industryas only electric vehicle offered by a full-line luxury automaker. Production starts in late 2013.

It may be the big debut for Cadillac at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show tomorrow, but why wait until then?

With no secrets in the age of Internet media, the ELR plug-in hybrid luxury coupe has leaked ahead of a scheduled embargo.

Looking like a chubbier, though better proportioned CTS coupe with a more aerodynamic and ground-hugging body, it’s hard to deny this is one handsome electric car.

Technically a gasoline range-extended EV (as GM would like you to call it), it’s the first car to use the Volt powertrain technology (other than the Volt of course).

If you’re eager for more details, you won’t have to wait long, with more info due out soon.
