The Volkswagen GTI just got a stylish new rival in the hot hatch segment… from Kia.

With all the stylish good looks anyone could ask for, the oddly named 5-door cee’d and 3-door pro_cee’d models available in Europe will now get a hotter “GT” version with a turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder under the hood making 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a six-speed manual transmission, the sprint to 62 mph will take a modest 7.9 seconds.

But that’s not all. Both GT models will also gain dual exhaust pipes, 18-inch wheels, red bake calipers and Recaro seats.

Set to debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Kia has not yet said if the ceee’d GT or pro_cee’d GT will be offered in North America.
