The latest generation of Porsche 911 (the 991) is quickly expanding in terms of trims and models. With the new GT3 being unveiled at Geneva last week proving to be the ultimate Porsche, today we bring something a little bit more relaxed: the 911 Targa.

Cleverly disguised as a convertible, our spy photographers snapped these pictures of a 911 with an interesting segmented roof. That’s the removable glass top, which means that this is indeed a Targa.

That glass top also hides a roll-bar, which is added for better structural integrity, as the car loses its metal roof.

Currently, the Targa is only available as an AWD model, although it is uncertain if this new model will carry on with that trend.

Expect the Targa to come out later this year as a 2014 model, with the same 3.4L flat-six engine putting out 350 horsepower, or the optional 3.8L engine that delivers 400 horsepower.
