MINI Celebrates Dakar Win With Race-Inspired JCW Countryman

MINI and John Cooper Works are celebrating their victory at the 2013 Dakar Rally with a special edition Countryman model limited to just 11 units.

The 11 units symbolize driver Stephane Peterhansel’s 11 Dakar victories, and the MINI JCW Countryman ALL4 Dakar Winner 2013 will look the part of race-inspired street car. Based on the MINI JCW Countryman with all-wheel drive, the special edition model features a matte black exterior with bright green contrasting stripes. Both the driver and front passenger doors display the number 302 along with names of the victorious two drivers: Stephane Peterhansel and Jean-Paul Cottret.

On the inside, green contrast stitching can be found on the shifter and floor mats while the green embroidered winner’s logos are seen on the head restraints. Each vehicle will sport a special edition logo complete with serial number while the John Cooper Works sports steering wheel and Gravity Black leather sports seats gives the Countryman a sporty driving experience.

Finishing touches on the exterior include bespoke side indicator surrounds and 19-inch wheels in Cross-Spoke Crusher design.

Pricing on the MINI JCW Countryman ALL4 Dakar Winner 2013 was not announced.
