Mitsubishi will be heading to this year’s Bangkok Motor Show with a concept car that previews a new compact sedan planned to be sold globally.

According to Mitsubishi, the Concept G4 “uses a high-clarity brilliant-cut diamond motif in the design of the front grill, headlamps and rear combination lamps to create a frontal visage with a commanding presence and a tail end which leaves a sharp impression as it drives off into the distance.” As for its body styling, it’ll feature a short front end while the interior space will be among the best in its class.

The compact model will also excel in the category of fuel efficiency with its new Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body, which the automaker claims to be lightest in its class thanks to an extensive use of high-tensile steel. It’ll be powered by a 1.2-liter MIVEC engine mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Its lightweight chassis will aid the sedan in having agile handling while offering a comfortable ride.
