General Motors North America President Mark Reuss will go behind the wheel of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Pace Car in the Chevrolet Indy Dual in Detroit this weekend.

Reuss, a lifelong racing enthusiast, recently took a practice lap around the Detroit Grand Prix circuit in the 2014 Corvette Stingray Pace Car. The Indy Dual in Detroit races are part of the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix weekend of racing and Reuss will drive the Pace Car for both Indy dual races.

During the Indy Dual in Detroit, Tony Kanaan will try to pull off back-to-back wins after taking the Indy 500 last weekend.

“The all-new, 2014 Corvette Stingray proved last week at Indy that it’s at home on the racetrack, and we’re excited to bring it home to Motown to pace the Chevrolet Indy Dual in Detroit,” said Reuss. “To be able to drive this car, on this track, in this city, is a huge thrill for me personally, and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel to pace this great field.”
