Back at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Bertone Jet 2+2 concept was introduced, which is basically an Aston Martin Rapide Wagon. Now, it has come to light that the concept may make it to production.

According to Autocar, Aston Martin is currently investigating whether a short run of production cars would be profitable for the brand. There are issues holding the car back though, including the first problem of naming the vehicle. If it does make it to production, it is likely to sit atop the Rapide range of cars.

Originally introduced as a one off, the Bertone Jet 2+2 was built to celebrate Aston Martin’s Centenary and 60 years of Aston and Bertone working together. If the car does move forward, it may be produced at Bertone’s factory outside of Turin, Italy, or at Aston Martin’s facility in Gaydon, U.K.
