Hertz Renting Penske-Tuned Ford Mustang GT
Rental car giant Hertz is teaming with Penske Racing to offer its customers a specially-tuned version of the Ford Mustang GT.
Dressed in special black and yellow livery, the car benefits from a series of Penske-installed performance upgrades that promise to pull more out of the car’s 5.0-liter V8. It gets a modified air intake and new exhaust along with a new set of more aggressive gears and a new ECU chip.
Final output figures haven’t been released, but expect the car to make well above its 420 hp stock rating. Of course, it won’t be available for sale. Instead, you’ll need to visit one of the 15 Hertz airport locations that offers the company’s “Adrenaline Collection.”

Renting the car costs $180 per day, or $800 per week and offers a maximum of 100 miles of driving per day.
Last week, Hertz also announced that customers will be able to rent exotics including the Aston Martin Vantage, Audi R8, Lamborghini Gallardo and several others through its “Dream Car Program.”
