Jaguar QX Crossover Spy Photo Reveals a Swoopy SUV

Often a whole gallery of spy photos will reveal little about a cleverly disguised car. Sometimes, however, one single pic can be extremely revealing.

That is certainly the case here with an amateur photographer snapping a lone image of what very obviously appears to be the Jaguar XQ crossover.

Looking somewhat BMW X6-esque, it’s believes the new model rides on an entirely original platform; one that will also underpin the brand’s upcoming BMW 3 Series rival.

Ready to head into production for 2016, the car is likely to offer a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder at the low-end, while pricier models will be equipped with a supercharged 3.0-liter V6.

Jaguar is expected to debut a concept version of the XQ at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

Oh lord! Why the Crosstour rear end? And why does it come up so steeply at the back? Ugh i hope the next shot is more flattering... From design of the year to this? Come on Jaguar.

That won't be the final body just a 'cover' for the prototype vehicle underneath.
