Porsche Planning Social Media Blitz for Pebble Beach

If you’re a fan of Porsches, you may want to pay close attention to the German automaker this weekend.

At the 63rd annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Porsche will be celebrating the 911’s 50th birthday by showcasing a special, limited edition 50th Anniversary Porsche 911. But the big news is, Porsche is planning a social media blitz on Twitter, Vine, Instagram, and Facebook and is inviting 911 owners and enthusiasts to take part.

This week, Porsche will launch its new Instagram account and will showcase images at all stops across this weekend’s festivities in Pebble Beach. In addition, fans can join in on the phone with the hashtag #50y911 by sharing their favorite photos. All the content will be aggregated through a special microsite that will be on display at the automaker’s Zentrum and display at Peter Hay Hill.

Other vehicles joining Porsche’s display at this year’s Concours d’Elegance include its 918 Spyder supercar and plug-in hybrid Panamera.
