Toyota has announced a recall for 2004-2005 and 2007-2009 Sienna minivans to address problems with the shift lever assembly.

According to the Japanese automaker, there is a potential for damage to the shift lock solenoid installed in approximately 615,000 Sienna vehicles in the U.S. As a result of the faulty shift lever assembly, there is a possibility that the shift lever could be moved out of the park position without the driver pressing the brake pedal.
