A tiny front-wheel drive Audi crossover called the Q1 could be coming in 2016 according to a new report from German magazine AutoBild.

Should it come to be, the car would sit below the Q3 as an entry-level model using a 1.4-liter gasoline engine like the A1 (pictured). As well, Audi would likely offer a 1.4-liter diesel engine and a 2.0-liter with 231 hp as the range-topping model.

Styling cues for the Q1 would be similar to the brand’s Allroad products, with plastic and brushed aluminum pieces on the body. ALl-wheel drive will not be available despite it being possible on the platform currently underpinning the Polo.

A plug-in hybrid will come later in the production run with a 1.2-liter gasoline engine that makes 110 hp mated to an electric powertrain with 109 hp. While the Q1 wouldn’t be a likely candidate for sale in the U.S., it might be previewed soon at a major European auto show.
