Chrysler Teases Mopar '14 Ahead of SEMA Show

Chrysler released a taser image today of its Mopar ’14 vehicle, which will debut during this year’s SEMA Show.

Based on the picture above, the Mopar ’14 looks like it will be a modified version of the Challenger muscle car.

“Our new Mopar ’14 will instantly resonate with enthusiasts,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC’s service, parts and customer-care brand. “This limited-edition ride is for muscle-car fans who love high octane and customizable performance.”

BUt it won’t be the only customized vehicle on display. Chrysler plans to bring 20 to its 15,300 square-foot display this year. Chrysler began its series in 2010 with the aptly named Mopar ’10, which was also a Challenger. The following year brought the Mopar ’11, which was a Charger Then there was the modified Chrysler 300 in 2012 and most recently a special version of the Dart compact sedan.

The vehicles typically get performance enhancements and are sold as special edition vehicles. Last year, the Mopar ’13 Dart got a lowered suspension, new exhaust system, lower profile tires and improved brakes.
