Ford has announced that the 2015 F-150 will be available with a snow plow preparation package straight from the factory, available on every cab configuration.

Ford will outfit all three of its cab styles, Regular, SuperCab and SuperCrew with the snow plow prep kit, but the trucks must be fitted with the 5.0-liter V8 engine and four-wheel drive. As for trim levels, the package will be available on XL, XLT and Lariat.

Snow plow mode will be controlled with a button in the cab which will reroute power from nonessential features to provide dedicated grunt to the snowplow. This operation will be fitted from the factory, but the actual plow itself will not. After taking delivery of a 2015 F-150, owners will have to visit a Ford qualified vehicle modifier to have the plow installed.

Pricing for the package will be announced later this year, not including the price of the plow. The new 2015 F-150 will begin arriving in late 2014.
