The first production 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will be auctioned off with its proceeds benefiting the Karmanos Cancer Institute.

The Z06 is set to cross the auction block at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach, Florida on April 12. Last year, the first production 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible raised $1 million for the Karmanos Cancer Institute. All proceeds from the auction of the Z06 will go towards the renovation of the Institute’s infusion center to provide a more comfortable and soothing setting for patients to receive chemotherapy treatments.

The Corvette Z06 is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine with at least 625 hp and 635 lb-ft of torque.

“Chevrolet’s donation of the first 2015 Corvette Z06 produced is yet another way that we are showing our continued support of the Karmanos Cancer Institute,” said Dan Ammann. “The funds raised from the auction will help further the exceptional patient care that Karmanos is known for in our community and across the country.”
