Spreading its new philosophy of “no boring cars,” Toyota rolled out the refreshed Camry today in New York.

The car stays near identical mechanically, but every body panel on the car is revised except the roof. It adopts a far more aggressive look than the current Camry, borrowing much of its style from its smaller sibling the Corolla.

Under the hood, a 2.5-liter four cylinder, a 3.5-liter V6 and a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle hybrid still reside, just like before. Toyota says that spot welds in the chassis will help to improve the cars ride, while revisions to the suspension are also said to improve handling.

On the inside, more soft-touch materials have been installed along with increased sound deadening and a 4.2-inch screen in between the gauge cluster.

The final change is a new trim level known as XSE, which combines premium amenities with a sport-tuned suspension.
