GMC announced today that it is offering below MSRP discounts to anyone who has served or is currently serving in a branch of the military.

The special pricing starts now and lasts until June 30, GMC said in a statement today. That discount can be combined with most other discounts and incentives including an additional $750 price break for USAA members. There isn’t a specific discount rate assigned to the event, but the company said a 2013 Sierra 1500 double cab equipped with a V8 and the SLE Value Package will be $8,800 less expensive than usual.

“It’s a small token of gratitude from GMC for those that serve this country,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president of Buick and GMC. “We’re very proud of the brand’s history with the U.S. military, but even more so of the men and women that sacrifice for this country, every day.”

General Motors is currently offering employee pricing to people who own a vehicle under its 2.6-million-vehicle ignition switch recall. GM is still in the midst of dealing with the massive recall that it links to at least 13 deaths.
