A Chinese SUV featured in the new Transformers: Age of Extinction movie will be heading to the U.S. next year.

The Trumpchi GS5 will be exported to North America by Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. (GAC) and could arrive showrooms as early as 2015. According to the chief of the Trumpchi brand, Wu Song, GAC will also export other models featured in the movie to the U.S. in order to gauge American consumers’ demand for Chinese vehicles.

“Our sponsorship of Transformers 4 will help more overseas dealers and consumers know about our cars and over the long run it will greatly contribute to our branding,” Wu said in a phone interview with Automotive News China. “We want to start exporting to the U.S. as quickly as possible and I am confident that they will find our Trumpchi cars competitive.”

GAC, which operates manufacturing joint ventures with Toyota and Fiat, started the Trumpchi brand in 2010. GAC joins other Chinese automakers including BYD, Geely and Great Wall Motor Co. in hopes of gaining market share in the U.S. Currently the Trumpchi brand is exported to the Middle East, South America and Russia. Total sales for Trumpchi is expected to reach 135,000 units this year, exceeding the company’s original target of 115,000.
