Two rugged off roaders sit atop the most popular car reviews this week, the Toyota FJ Cruiser and the Jeep Wrangler.

The 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Ultimate Edition is the final special edition of the FJ before it is discontinued at the end of the year. It isn’t exactly the most practical vehicle, but it is very capable and a ton of fun when the pavement ends.

There is only one true competitor to the FJ, the Jeep Wrangler. We reviewed the Wrangler Sport, a near base model that packs a manual transmission and roll-up windows.

Porsche is jumping into the compact crossover segment with the all-new Macan. Two engines are available, a turbocharged 3.0L V6 that makes 340 hp and 339 lb-ft or a turbocharged 3.6L V6 that puts out 400 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque.

The fastest Camaro ever built slots into the fourth spot on the list this week. The Z/28 packs a 7.0L V8 that makes 505 hp and 481 lb-ft of torque, and costs a cool $75,000. This is the most track focused version of the Camaro as well, with Chevy saying it packs 190 unique parts compared to the standard car.

Last up this week is our review of the Mercedes-Benz S550. Power comes from a 4.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that puts out 449 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. If you wanna take one home with you, you’ll have to leave at least $95,325 behind at the dealership.

So whether you’re shopping for a new car and looking for advice, you want to keep up to date on the auto industry or you’re just looking for a good read, check out the hotlinks to each of the stories below and see more new car reviews here.
