Unique BMW I8 to Be Auctioned Off at Pebble Beach

A one-of-a-kind BMW i8 will be auctioned off at this year’s Concours d’Elegance.

Called the BMW i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition, the one-off hybrid will be auctioned with proceeds benefiting the Pebble Beach Company Foundation and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. To celebrate the U.S. arrival of the German automaker’s latest hybrid, the i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition features a unique paint scheme and interior treatment along with features that will make it unlike any other BMW i8 in the world.

It gets Frozen Grey Metallic paint while the interior boasts Dalbergia Brown leather upholstery that has been tanned using dye derived from plant extracts. Accented with BMW i Blue stitching, the Pure Impulse Tera World interior also has other accents in BMW i Blue, including the seat belts and the BMW i8 embossed into the front headrests. Numerous U.S. firsts will be included on the special one-off model including laser headlights (pending government approval), a BMW i8 Display key as well as the first BMW Charging Station, professional edition.

Another minor accent to the i8 include the words “Concours d’Elegance Edition” laser etched in the interior.

The car will be sold at the Pebble Beach Auctions presented by Gooding & Company on Saturday, August 16 at the Pebble Beach Special Events area.
