New Cadillac GT3 Race Car Spied in Chicago

Despite Cadillac staying tight-lipped about a new race car based on the ATS-V, a camouflage covered car was spotted in Chicago looking like exactly that.

Photos began emerging late yesterday of the race car shown here at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. Of course, it’s still completely covered in camouflage, but the body shape is hard to mistake. Cadillac’s CTS-V based Pirelli World Challenge race car is facing stiffer competition from lighter products and the ATS-V based car would offer a lighter package that will be an even stronger competitor. While it isn’t confirmed yet, the GT3 spec race car could make use of a twin-turbo V6 rather than the 6.2-liter V8 powering Cadillac’s CTS-V entrant.
