Sales of the new Mustang are off to a good start.

Not surprisingly, the 2015 Ford Mustang has increased its sales by 62 percent compared to the same month last year, moving 8,728 units in November 2014. That means that Ford sold about double the amount of 2015 Mustangs as Chevy sold 2015 Camaros last month.

Ford also revealed people’s buying decisions when it comes to the new car. The American brand says that 52 percent of buyers are choosing the 435-hp 5.0-liter V8 in the Mustang GT. The other buyers are split right down the middle with 24 percent of customers choosing the 3.7-liter V6 and 24 percent taking the new turbocharged I-4 EcoBoost engine.

So far, 20,000 new Mustang fastback have been built and shipped around the U.S. and Canada and preparations to begin shipping overseas are now underway.
