The next-generation Audi Q7 will be shown to world at the upcoming 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

Audi development chief Ulrich Hackenberg told Indian Autos Blog that “if you make a trip to Detroit, you’ll see it,” referring to the Q7. An all-new platform is going to underpin the redesigned Audi SUV that should help it cut 770 pounds thanks to its aluminum components. The next-generation Porsche Cayenne, Bentley SUV and VW Touareg will also ride on the new platform.

A fresh new look that will borrow cues from the new Audi TT is due for the Q7. For power, expect the current engine lineup to stay mostly intact, though a new e-tron plug-in hybrid variant will join the roster.
