Does Mercedes-Benz finally have a proper BMW X6 M competitor?

At the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, Mercedes is showing off its GLE 63 S Coupe, powered by a 5.5-liter turbocharged V8 engine with 577 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission, the luxury crossover is capable of going 0-60 in 4.2 seconds.

2015 Detroit Auto Show Coverage

As an AMG product, the GLE 63 S Coupe will be available with air suspension and an optional sport exhaust while the model features more aggressive styling than the standard GLE counterpart. Expect the GLE 63 S Coupe to arrive dealerships in August.
