Chinese automaker GAC just released a teaser showing a crossover concept that it plans to showcase during the Detroit Auto Show.

“The debut of GS4 at the North American International Auto Show will mark a milestone in GAC Motor’s history because it shows that our products have met the international standards. The high-performance SUV is indeed a representative of Chinese brand vehicles which are able to compete in the global market,” GAC general director Wu Song said.

GAC plans to present its concept to the public during the upcoming show. It hasn’t released complete details yet, but the GS4 is powered by either a 1.3-liter or 1.5-liter gasoline engine although output, the number of gears and other technical details weren’t disclosed with the teaser image.

Key design features for the vehicle include long headlights and large alloy wheels, a two-tone paint finish and an aggressive looking hood. GAC says it plans to enter the North American automobile market, but hasn’t disclosed a timeline for that happening.
