Audi has announced that a new crossover will debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, simply called “show car.”

The two-door model will feature the high ground clearance of a crossover as the German automaker calls it “a car for all roads and tracks, for everyday driving and sporty recreational use.” The main focus of the show car is to show off the systematic development of Audi’s design language and the coupe will feature a host of visual elements from future sports car models with the Audi-typical allroad concept and independent Shooting Brake body.

It measures in at 13.78 feet in length with short overhangs, a low roofline and a strong C pillar. The Audi show car will roll into Detroit on 19-inch wheels while the aluminum underbody is offroad ready. Further accenting the show car are elements from Audi’s e-tron lineup including ribs in the Singleframe grille and in the side air inlets.
