After a successful 2014, what does Tesla have in store for its owners this year?

Well one thing current and future Model S owners can look forward to is a charger that will automatically move out from the wall and connect “like a solid metal snake,” according to a tweet from Tesla CEO Elon Musk. While it might sound like science-fiction, Musk promises that he’s “for realz” on the project and clarified that it’ll work with all existing Model S cars, not just future ones.

Musk didn’t mention whether the system will be available at public Supercharger stations or only available for customers’ homes, but it appears that this solid metal snake charger will make things a little more convenient for Model S owners, allowing them to plug in without even leaving their car.

Btw, we are actually working on a charger that automatically moves out from the wall & connects like a solid metal snake. For realz.
