There’s a new, lighter version of the Lotus Exige that you can pine over in America, but not own.

The coupe-only Exige S Club Racer has a curb weight of 2,560 lbs, marking a roughly 30-lb reduction over the Exige S. That in combination with a front splitter, rear spoiler and underbody aerodynamic enhancements offering almost 93 lbs of downforce make it a measurably improved product over the Exige S.

Top speed for the new model is just over 170 MPH with a 0-62 MPH sprint in four seconds flat courtesy of its supercharged 3.5-liter V6.

Lotus managed to save weight in the new derivative by using lightweight versions of key components including the battery, center console, doors and seats. Other changes include new drive modes that vary how much slip the traction control system will allow. There are three in total: drive, sport and race.

The new Lotus Exige S Club Racer is already available to customers in the U.K. for £56,900 ($84,100), which is a £2,400 premium over the normal Exige S.
