The BBC has reportedly narrowed down its search for the next trio of hosts for Top Gear.

The U.K.’s Sunday Express is reporting that Top Gear‘s next three hosts could be Life on Mars actor Philip Glenister, Classic Car Show‘s Jodie Kidd and Channel 4 presenter Guy Martin. Kidd is a well-known TV personality and has previously appeared as a guest on Top Gear, while Glenister also hosts a U.K. show called For the Love of Cars that focuses on the restoration of historic British automobiles. Martin is a professional motorcycle racer and has hosted numerous television series in the U.K.

After Jeremy Clarkson was fired recently after assaulting a producer on the show, co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May both declined to sign contracts for a new series of the show. BBC is rumored to relaunch Top Gear next year with three new hosts and it remains to be seen if the format will change.

Doesn't sound like a winner to me. I think the guys with the power to fire blew it. It will never have the same flavor as the original....might as well change the name to Gear Grinder.

If you hire Mr. Bean to host, I'd watch it.
