Used Teslas start as low as $55,000 for a certified pre-owned Model S from the company’s program.

At least that’s what the American automaker has announced. Earlier this month, Tesla launched its pre-owned sales online with models ranging anywhere from $65,000 to $105,000 but now cheaper units are making an appearance on the website. We took a quick browse around and although we couldn’t find one as low as $55,000, there is a Tesla Model S 60 available in New York for $56,000 with 23,272 miles. It does appear that more and more pre-owned Model S vehicles are being added and the price floor will be set at around $55,000 for future additions.

According to Tesla, each pre-owned Model S has gone through a comprehensive 200+ point inspection and each vehicle includes a four year or 50,000-mile Limited Warranty, which begins on the date of delivery. There is also the balance of Tesla Battery and Drive Unit Warranty, which is eight years or 125,000 miles for the 60kWh model and eight years or unlimited miles for the 85kWh model. Each vehicle comes with a CarFax Vehicle History Report in the U.S. and 24-hour Roadside Assistance over the warranty period.
