Pricing for the 2016 Ford Focus RS has leaked online.

The new Ford hot hatch is listed on a configurator which appears to still be in the testing phases, with a starting price of $35,730.

Despite most of the images not working, the configurator did offer a number of options for the RS, including a sunroof, navigation, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and sticky Michelin Cup tires, which alone cost $1,990. With all of the available options added, the price of the RS grows to $42,275.

In comparison, the Subaru WRX STI starts at $35,290 while the Volkswagen Golf R begins at $37,415, putting the Focus RS right in line with its biggest competition. If you compare the specs of these cars, the Focus RS comes out on top, making 345 hp and 324 lb-ft of torque from its 2.3-liter turbocharged engine. Torque can also be momentarily boosted to 347 lb-ft for up to fifteen seconds at a time.

The Focus RS is expected in dealers by Spring of 2016.

Please turn your brains on. This is NOT a 'Focus' nor even an ST. This is a low-volume, street-legal rally car. And if you can even touch one for less than $45K during 2016, I'll be surprised, as FoMoCo dealers will be following the Hellcat's priority pricing model. And with the advent of Sync3 for all '16 models, the infotainment system will be improved. I'd still like to see a Fiesta RS, too, but that's unlikely.......just not a big enough market. I'm off to befriend my local blue oval dealer....and get in line.
