Originally rumored to debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder is now said to bow next month in Frankfurt.

We previously reported that the convertible variant for the Lamborghini Huracan would bow early next year in Switzerland, but a source contacted us saying that wasn’t true. Now, a report says that the Italian automaker will unveil the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, sharing the show floor with its main competitor, the Ferrari 488 Spider.

Don’t expect very many surprises with the Huracan Spyder, which will be powered by the same 5.2-liter V10 with 602 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, but expect it to add a few pounds to its total weight compared to the coupe model.

Also expected at the Lamborghini booth at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show is the Aventador SV Roadster, which will likely debut at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Rumor has it that Lamborghini also has a surprise up its sleeves for the Monterey Car Week with a special edition model debut, but if that doesn’t come to fruition at Monterey, it could be the showstopper at Frankfurt next month.
