Aston Martin DB11 Convertible Set to Arrive Spring 2018

The Aston Martin DB11 convertible has been teased and is set to debut in spring 2018.

Officially called the Aston Martin DB11 Volante, the British automaker posted three images of the convertible variant on its Facebook page with very little disguise. It appears that it will feature a soft-top roof and will retain the sleek body lines of the DB11 coupe.

Considering Aston Martin only released teaser images of the rear end, it is likely that the front end will see some changes compared to the coupe, although that’s pure speculation.

Powertrain should be shared with the coupe, however, meaning the all-new 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 will also power the roadster. That engine provides 600 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, allowing the coupe to have a top speed of 200 mph and a zero-to-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of 3.9 seconds. Do expect the Volante version to be slightly slower in acceleration and have a lower top speed, which is typical for convertibles because of the added weight.
